OUTLINE
At Nazuna Gosho, a renovated Kyoto townhouse inn, I was responsible for producing and art directing a light installation.
The artwork, titled “Color Field Bathing,” is experienced within a private bathhouse converted from a historic kura (storehouse). Guests can immerse themselves in the work while bathing, surrounded by light and sound inspired by shippō (the Seven Treasures)—a motif deeply connected to the history of bathing culture in Japan.
Realized in collaboration with four artists and creators, this installation offers hotel guests an intimate and exclusive space to encounter a new form of bathing experience.
